1. What does LASSSAI do?

2. What is the difference between LASSSAI and LASSO?
LASSSAI was established to systematize the management and supervision of schools. On the one hand, It is the governing body of The Lasallian Schools Supervision Office (LASSO). LASSO, on the other hand, is the implementing arm of the LASSSAI. It was created to continue the task of supervising schools.
3. Who are the De La Salle Supervised Schools and the ALAS?
The De La Salle Supervised Schools is a network of schools under the supervision of LASSSAI. ALAS is the association, still under LASSSAI, comprised of the De La Salle Supervised Schools that have graduated from supervision. Admission into ALAS is through invitation.

6. What is the process for a school to be supervised? LASSO?
First, the school is put under Consultancy status which are the testing grounds that would determine the school-owner’s motivations. In this status, the school is given at most five (5) years to prove that it deserves being a supervised school. This period acts as the buffer before a school can apply to be a Supervised School. Once LASSO deems the school acceptable to be supervised, an agreement is made via Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) which is renewable on a yearly basis.
7. What are the usual tasks for a Supervised School to retain membership?
